I must've passed u on the way to a couple of my birding spots. I saw the motorhomes by the cafe. My birding spots (Llys Helyg & Secret Area 2B) were dead but things have started moving since last night. Enjoy your visit. 🙂👍🐦

208 sounds pretty good, and the autumn was dire for Sibes, drifts etc. Denbighshire, Flints + Wrexham is a good idea. Seems slightly underwatched to me, and there's some good areas. Oakenholt/CQNR area for starters. Probably won't be too long til another Casp at Gresford.. 🤔 Good luck! Mike.

Unlucky! I know the feeling - I spent 6 hours the same day round the Orme for very little; Golden Plover in/off, 1 Redwing, 1 Blackcap, Ivy Bees, late Grayling, and squeaked a Weasel quite close. Exercise, fresh air etc blah..! 😟🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Interesting stuff. I saw the comments on the W Pal Gulls FB group, those 2 people know a lot lot more about gulls than i do! Harrys comment was interesting wrt the head shape; now that he mentions it, it does indeed have that "blocky" quality, ironically it's a feature that i've often associated...

Nice one, that AGPs a cracker. Another great find for Alan. Your pic of the CQNR gull on WhatsApp is interesting; agree it's not YLG, but I'm struggling to make it HG x LBBG too. First impression was omissus - ie a yellowish legged argentatus, however statistically that would be incredibly rare...

Ah yes i remember the Abersoch bird, great find by Marc. That Black Red is a smart bird. There's been a Firecrest at RSPB Conwy (u prob already know) in case you're in the area again.

I was doing a survey at Beach House Road, Llanddulas all day - huge numbers of Commons. Frustrating that there were 3 Surf and 6 Velvet at Rainbow Bridge, but my scope can't see round corners! 🙄🤦‍♂️ Good luck today.

I keep passing that Cattle Egret, I must remember to pull over! 🙂🤦‍♂️ Bettisfield Moss - last time I was there, I had a family party of Willow Tits, so worth keeping an eye out. Keep up the posts. 👍

Good luck with the year list, sounds like you've made a good start already. Can u give a bit more info on the Lapland Bunting on the beach in Llandudno?.. TIA, Mike from Llandudno! :-)
