Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

31085 is just the ticket. Fits the VP like a bespoke glove. I think the pic posted by Dr. English is taken at an angle that makes it look much more "clunky" that it is in reality.

Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

To answer your question: I am not very sensitive to chromatic aberration but I see none in either the UV 8x20 or the Zeiss 8x25 testing both this morning looking at dark tree branches backlight by the rising sun. I will...

Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

Binomaniac, You are getting lots of good advice here. If you haven't already, you may want to read the recent thread " A growing addiction..." in the Leica forum, particularly post # 11 by member eitanaltman which discusses how to compare two bins side by side assuming you have several days...

Leica UV 8x20 versus Zeiss Victory 8x25

Binomaniac, The differences between the two are very small but testing them this morning it seems to me the Leica has very slightly better resolution and contrast also slightly better control of glare when looking toward the sun. This is my impression when specifically looking for the factors...
