    Well said. Knowing how good mine are, if I lost mine, in spite of my emotional desire for the 8x32 SFs, I still would likely buy another pair of the Conquests. Having a pair of what I think are the finest 8x42s ever made, the Zeiss Victory HTs, the optics of the Conquests are probably 90...

    I've read a few times now that the Conquest HDs were FL innards. Don't know if it's just repeated internet myth or true but I'd like to think it's the latter!

    When Zeiss finally redid the eyecups for these, they became my favorite binoculars. The redesigned eyecups were don some years ago now and I recall a few threads about the issue. They remain my most used binoculars, even over the superior 8x42 HT's I own. The size and weight is perfect for me...
