Well said. Knowing how good mine are, if I lost mine, in spite of my emotional desire for the 8x32 SFs, I still would likely buy another pair of the Conquests. Having a pair of what I think are the finest 8x42s ever made, the Zeiss Victory HTs, the optics of the Conquests are probably 90... -

I've read a few times now that the Conquest HDs were FL innards. Don't know if it's just repeated internet myth or true but I'd like to think it's the latter! -

When Zeiss finally redid the eyecups for these, they became my favorite binoculars. The redesigned eyecups were don some years ago now and I recall a few threads about the issue. They remain my most used binoculars, even over the superior 8x42 HT's I own. The size and weight is perfect for me...
