    8x56: BL v BV/BR v HG

    Thanks for this. I still find it strange that the discontinued HG are double the price of the later BL & BV versions, the HG can be bought new for £750. And found there's a fourth Minox version for sale new, the 8x56 HD which are £860 ! Are they a newer HG ? Have been tempted to try, but...

    So Minox have three versions of 8x56 binoculars. Interesting and a tad confusing. It appears two versions are current, possibly not as good as the HG discontinued version which was far more expensive and presumably the best in some way? How do the three versions compare optically, and in use...
