A pair of Softshell turtles and two pair of Red eared turtles. All close by each other. They are extremely wary. Zeiss VP 10x25. Mike- mwhogue

Yellow-Crowned Night-Herons have returned to nest in a tree in my yard. Canon 12x36 IS III very convenient for observing construction of the nest. The Mississippi Kites and Whistling ducks put on almost ostentatious displays. For years a pair of Red Winged Hawks have nested in a tree in my...- mwhogue

What did you see in your binoculars today?
The red shouldered hawks are building a new nest (or refurbishing their existing nest) in a tree in my yard. Lots of close up views of the birds selecting and flying up and away with suitable branches. Various bins.- mwhogue
