What did you see in your binoculars today?

I didn't really need binoculars for these fellas, they were almost running over my feet. Another group out on the slipway with three Purple Sandpipers darting between them. Apologies for quality of mobile phone snap.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Not exactly a rarity, but an uncommon enough sighting this morning to be a nice surprise was a Spotted Redshank driven down the creek by the cold weather. That, a Kingfisher and a decent number of Common Redshank made a quick trip to the supermarket worthwhile.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Finally found a Dartford Warbler on my patch - there's been two or three about a mile away at Oare this year so it was always a possibility, but I'd not been lucky enough over the past few years.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Marsh Harrier was probably star of the day, but returning Brent geese are always nice to see and I can't resist Stonechats.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

A Little Owl that I'd failed to find on Saturday, and after ten minutes listening to a skulking Reed Warbler, finally saw my first of the year.
