What did you see in your binoculars today?

Man, you guys are cunning. I simply spend time in the kitchen to make breakfast exactly in the time-window of delivery, which I checked via tracking. From the kitchen window I can see the street, so I hurry down before the post lady rings the bell. But sometimes I just don't care. And if my wife...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Seagull chicks were still sleeping in the morning, so I took a pic. They're to the left on the roof. Mom or dad is standing guard.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Currently in the south of France on vacation and I saw a pair of seagulls with 3 chickens. The small ones were all sleeping on a roof. No nest. Never saw anything like it. So cute. If they do the same thing tomorrow, I have to take a picture.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Went for a walk with the family through an old quarry and saw two lovely water snakes (natrix natrix). Took a pic of one of them through the Kowa BDII I had with me.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Very possible. All I know is that Michael Stoscheck, CEO of "Brose Autoparts" (here in Bamberg), has one of these. I guess he has friends, who also own them. Looks like they formed a "Schwimmwagen Club" :D.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Probably the strangest thing I ever saw on the "Main-Donau-Kanal" in front of our house. A fleet of amphibian cars swimming by. Grabbed my nearest bino (an old 7x35 EWA) and shot a short clip. Sorry for the low quality. It's a cheap phone and even cheaper bino. Still such a unique sight that...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Having quite a few super wide angle binos, I never thought I'd enjoy my little skeleton bino so much with a measly 5° in an 8x20. I guess I understand now why some people like the "frame" that a narrow view offers. For a 50 year old instrument with hazy prism they work pretty well. Shots were...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

A robin singing, amongst others. I'm currently on vacation in the Lüneburger Heide, a nature reserve in the north of Germany. I think it was also the first time in my life that I saw a common adder.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Not fast enough to get the binos out, but I saw a greenfinch right outside the window. As soon as I had got the bino, he was gone. And the pigeon couple that lives here started building a nest in the neighbors tree. A few crows on the fields outside, a Eurasian jay, some blue tits. Oh, and a...

What did you see in your binoculars today?

The lovely pigeon-pair living near our garden for years now (I think they built a nest once in a tree in the neighbors' garden) was quite pleasantly surprised that I put some bird food on the grass beneath the feeder. Pic taken through my Fuji HC 8x42. I really like that bino.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

We took a trip to Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze. And I took this pic of a duck (through the Fuji HC 8x42) when we were back down and took a walk around the Eibsee which is near the valley Station of the cable cars going up the mountain.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

No good views of birds as of yet (or at least none wanted to sit still for a pic). But a river cruise ship drove by just when I had finished adjusting the CZJ 8x30 I have bought a short while ago.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

Took a little walk today with my wife. Took the DDoptics Pirschler 10x45. And saw a great egret in a lake. When he saw us he decided to take off. I snapped a q'n'd pic through the bino.

What did you see in your binoculars today?

During the day a couple of geese (swimming, flying and searching for food in the field), a few crows, Eurasian blue tits which I can see every day at the feeder in the garden and a robin. And at night I looked at Orion, the Pleiades and Hyades. Used mainly my 10x45 DDoptics "Pirschler", which...
