    Birding on the porch in Peru

    should you pass through Ollantaytambo, the pakaritampu hotel (on the road to the train station to Aguas Calientes) has Beared mountaineer in the gardens. We had a cracking male there. The hotel itself is quite expensive, but you can ask the staff whether you could walk the garden for the hummer...
