    Hope to check up on waders in the wansbeck area over next few days. want to try and get some footage if possible. my gear is very limited atmo( (anyone got any old gear for sale?) Made on an old bridge camera, will be experimenting with a camcorder next week, skeptical it will be any use, but...

    yes ;ogically i agree, they would be the ones who had bred up the tweed. However they looked too grey(the males) for goosanders.

    large number of sawbills, by the old bridge at berwick yesterday. I didnt have bins with me, but fair sure they were red breasted mergansers. approx 35 of them. Visible at high tide.

    little wander along wansbecj today. load of gulls at castle island 250+ didnt have a scope so couldnt pick out anything exciting. prob try a revisit next week.
