    Thanks Adam yes there's thousands of ducks and geese around.I can remember the wildfowlers stopped shooting for a time last winter because of the freezing weather conditions.

    Shooting wildfowl on Lindisfarne usually starts this month and it is controlled by Natural England who operate a permit scheme for wildfowling which is run on behalf of the local wildfowlers.

    Sorry Dougie i am not getting into a stupid arugment with you.But wildfowlings has been going on for ages and as i said it a old country tradition and it will always on go.Many wildfowlers shoot on nature reserves for eg Fenham flats near Holy Island ,Budle Bay also on several nature reserves...

    Did anyone on Sunday see the Redpoll at St Mary's Island which was showing well at the same place as the Pallas's Warbler.A few birders were taking pics of it.It was put out as Common/Mealy Redpoll just found out a couple of days ago it has been re id as Lesser Redpoll.

    You dont believe all that rubbish about Honey Buzzards in Northumberland the majority of birders dont.You should have a look on Nick Rossiter's website and you will see nearly all the Honey Buzzards pics he has taken are actually Common Buzzards.

    1st summer Glaucous have a dark eye, 2nd winters have a pale iris.There was a leucistic Herring gull at Teeside over the winter and that kept getting reported as a Iceland Gull
