Yes but then i know who you are and have done many of the same things myself no complaints about you A, we know fully where the blame falls. They want the money but not the input from members unless it agrees with the creed. I will bow out of this now as ive been down the road too many times...

In their defence against all those complaining, how many were members, or went on tasks to improve sites. ? A new approach from both sides is needed.

This old chestnut has been going on for decades, i was instrumental in getting the original birders conference held at Hauxley. Much being discussed today was discussed then, it was well attended and although somewhat shocked by the lack of understanding by the trust many points were hammered...

Slender billed Curlew removed from the British list. http://www.birdguides.com/webzine/article.asp?a=4109. Wonder how many local birders got to see this bird, and what do you feel now.

Good morning Steve, never said NWT were resposible for the decline of Corn Bunting, i used it to illustrate the decline of speies due to loss of habitat, could have sited Yellowhammer, or Linnet. As i see it, NWT are there to help preserve habitat and the enviroment on your reserves, that means...

I emailed about this with Steve many years ago as well as other ideas that he thought were with NWT thinking, many of other suggestions have already been raised and agreed as worthwhile. So how do we get from talking to action, is it a case that the Trust are not getting their message across...

The permit system was stopped by NWT against the wishes of the members who attended the Kielder conference. Alec Cole started a group meeting to discuss all this at Hauxley, people attending were shocked by some of the statements made by the staff, promiises were made and never kept. Go back...

This agument has went on for decades, they did once agree to drop the levels after a bit of activity, spadework was reqd to shake them from their apathy, :) but they failed to keep it up. Perhaps directing concerns direct to them is just a waste of time, maybe contacting the parent Wildlife...

One of the great ways to get to know the sites in Northumberland is via the many excellent blogs kept by local birders. Two i highly recommend are as follows, plenty of links to other sites to explore. http: //boulmerbirder.blogspot.com/2012/01/cool.html http://killybirder.blogspot.com/

Any one seen the colour ringed Avocet at Cresswell ? It appears to have an Orange over Lime green on the right leg above the knee, and a Lime Green on the left leg. However im not sure if the left leg at the knee has a metal ring as the knee seems a bit deformed. Sorry if this has been...

Rare species recorded in the county are out of their comfort zone, so placing them under extra harassment via tapes photography and personal intrusion is wrong. The Bird must come first and finders must decide if putting info out is in the birds interest. The last Squacco in Northumberland...

Sadly these lot are nowt but a bunch of merchants, they know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Their god, profit needs to be worshipped at all costs. What can you expect when they all cheered the fact that 450,000 were going to lose there jobs. The environment will only matter...

Thanks John, it seemed a tad large, but always difficult to judge in isolation, so far im getting opinions both ways, but lesser is slightly ahead at the moment. Its not a bird i see too often, and i cant hear them at all, it was so much easier when it was Lesser or Artic. Ta for the reply.
