A big murmuration of Starling over Brunswick Village this evening. I've heard that the locals have been complaining about them, so the council have been letting flares off to try and disperse them.

Hi Derek. I was going to say, ask about the Grouse on the Durham thread because they might have more up to date info. But having now looked on the Durham thread, it doesn't seem to be used much. The Langdon Beck end of the road from St Johns Chapel used to be good for then, it's also been a...

Yeah I got the Shore Larks and Twite this afternoon, but the light had gone by then. I'm still trying to salvage something from my Twite shots.

Just taken this from my kitchen window. I counted 26 but they were coming and going all the time. There could easily have been 30 or more.

Good numbers of Crossbill at Cragside today. Unfortunately I found them just as the weather closed in and it started raining.

I had a cracking day on Holy Island today. Unfortunately there wasn't as much around as yesterday but I still managed to catch up with Red-Backed Shrike, Pied Flycatcher, Spotted Flycatcher, Lesser Whitethroat and a self found female Bluethroat. I just wish it had been a bit warmer.

Hi Adam Yes just park at the entrance to the farm track and walk up towards the farm, you will see the path down to the hide on the right as you reach the farm. You need a Northerly wind for Little Auk so I think you will be out of luck.
