Sony RX10 1V the new boy.

It was back in 2017 this camera caught my eye so i started this thread, i have finally had to admit my struggle with normal gear, even m4/3 so have taken the plunge and changed. Get it tomorrow but with the weather and lockdown it may be a while before i get to use it.

What PP program do you use as there is a margin for improvement on these which would give a better idea of the cameras capabilities, I would like to try it on one but need your permission, if not then thats ok. mike

It's not that simple, when you take crop factors into consideration and the high quality of m4/3 lenses the lack of big white primes of 600/800 becomes less important. Most users will not buy these expensive long primes and they go with up to 400 and a 1,4 converter,m4/3 can hold its own in this...

The Olympus should make a great birding camera,i moved over to mirrorless but with Panasonic. How good it would be for you depends on the type of birding you do.

Sony RX10 1V the new boy.

The big improvement as far as i can see is the focus tracking, the other thing which i think is on the previous model is the manual zoom ring. Just after buying my P900 i got a survey request from Nikon and had to say what would improve the camera in my opinion,i said a manual zoom ring,standing...
