    Somerset Birding

    No Roger the Ashcott car park was less than half full when we arrived at 10.15 am and there were also plenty of places mid-afternoon. It was also comforting to see a police patrol parked there for half an hour or so around 2.30 pm. I think we were probably very lucky but we had excellent views...

    Enjoyed a good day out at Ham Wall reserve today with four friends from Gloucestershire. The Pied-billed Grebe was at the second viewing platform, showing well but a long way off. We were put onto a Ferruginous Duck a little further East and after a search we found the bird on a small channel...
