    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Used the Black rapid sport strap now for a few years, you have to remember if buying one they are handed.as to which shoulder you want them on. I have to zoom holding the camera as i tend to zoom while taking when stuff is flying past or towards me.

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

After starting with the GX8 and having to sell it due to handling problems i would like a G80 with a 20mp sensor,i know its being greedy. Not going to risk it but i think the GX8 may not cause me the same problems with this 100-400, my first one was so stiff i gripped the camera and kept...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Cant see it will affect the price as its not in the same customer range, also there is £100 cash back at the moment on the G80. https://www.wexphotovideo.com/panasonic-lumix-dmc-g80-digital-camera-body-1607694/

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Most definitely;) the thing is we all love our gear choice,a lot of the arguments being put forward against mirrorless i was using 12 months ago. I don't think you will fail which ever way you go.

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

When i made the decision i had to shed gear weight i was all set to get the EM1 then i watched this vid,i didn't want the GH4 as it had no stabilizing,so knowing the GX8 used the same focus system i opted for that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up8K_xd_iwU&t=13s

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

When i go out its maybe only for 3-4 hours and a spare battery lets me leave my camera switched on,no matter what system i used i would be looking at having enough batteries to leave it on,thats just me though.

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

There is quiet a lot of assuming by people that have not used both systems and especially those that have not used top and bottom end DSLR camera bodies. M4/3 is not as fast in AFC as your top end Nikon bodies, cant talk Canon as I have never used them but I cant see them being much...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

This camera interests me but as yet i haven't found any reports on its ability to capture moving targets either AFS or AFC,have you seen any thing, sort of decided ime replacing my GX8 although its such a great camera especially for AFC on birds in flight.

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Wasnt suggesting avoid any camera with the option i was talking about the GX8 and the possible need (due to shutter shock)and so the consequences of using electronic shutters, you can also from what i understand lose some DR with electronic shutters. As for any improvements with the EM1 MK11,it...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Just found another example of why you should avoid cameras that use electronic shutters (taken on my GX8),look at the small posts in the background, yes i could PP this one but imagine it was a tree. I do share HermitIbis love of the Nikon V2,although i am selling mine as i no longer need a small...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

I use electronic shutter on my GX8,the rolling shutter effect with a panned shot containing a vertical can look awful, its called rolling shutter effect, its not just a few cameras its a down side to the electronic shutter,it only happens when panning, here is a reject i kept to show the...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

AF ability will depend on the camera model and to some extent the lens,in theory the best kit would be the Panasonic GX8 and 100-400,or without being silly the Olympus EM1 (right i know i said without being silly)the Olympus 300mm pro.the first one is around £2000 and the second £3000. Gives us...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

From what i understand the next step after the 10mk11 is the 5mk11 and i dont think its as up to date as the 10,one thing you could consider and its on my possible list is a S/H EM1 from somewhere like Wex with a 12 month warranty for about £500...

    Advice on best camera/lens combo

Your choice is about right as the smaller 4/3 sensor will keep the lens size and weight down,as to which one until the other day i would have said possibly the GX8, using electronic shutter (using the normal shutter with some lenses can induce shutter shock)yesterday i got a Olympus em-10mk11 as...
