Aaaaw!!! Sorry to hear you've been poorly Paul. There's nothing like a good bird to restore your spirits though is there.

Even though it isn't the grebe, it's still sad to see. Was there anything obvious that may have cause him to die?

Ooooh!!! What a great find for you Paul..... and that's not a bad picture at all lad. I hope I get some round here this winter, they're very hit and miss for this area.

Mmmmm.... that really shouldn't happen, should it. Quite avoidable by responsible anglers. Thanks for the information lad.

    Seafield to Kinghorn

Goodness.... you did have a good wander didn't you. Shame about that Godwit though Paul. It's so frustrating when things like that happen, but seems you're used to it now ;)

A super report that Paul. I think the habitat may favour Merlin but.... What a shame about your NZ trip lad. It would probably have been a great time to go just now with them nicely into Spring. I can't believe how lucky I was with the timing of my trip to Oz this time last year!

How interesting Paul. I didn't realise they moved about so much. Thanks for the info and the pictures too.

LOL Paul!!! It'd be a red-letter day for me if I actually spotted and identified one here. They must be around but I really struggle.
