    Wandered around Saltholme and the N tees area today. Saltholme was surprisingly quiet. Had first Greylag Goslings on back Saltholme.     Hi Andy, I saw a blue headed type Yellow Wagtail at Bidh Mid on saturday morning and believe it was Channel Wagtail rather than pure flava. Also I was rather surprised to see a Dipper on the River Wear this morning, actually on the weirs in the town centre. Stunning birds!

    Hi, Can someone tell me when is best for and where the water pipits are favouring on fire station pool? I put in 1.5 hours yesterday and there was no show, although 4 had been reported 20 minutes before. Other birders were there and didn't see then so I know IRS not just me. Thanks Bm

    Very good days birding around the county today. Started early at RSPB Saltholme and soon heard about the Green Winged Teal at Saltholme pools hide.     Nice pics! Had a brilliant day on Saturday looking for the terns which I dipped but made up for by all the moths, dragons and damsels, plus the wRblers and common terns!
