Thanks... ... to two birders who were at the Common Rosefinch yesterday evening c. 20:00hrs. One had a mate called Steve who he rang for directions to where the bird was, the other was able to do a Dr Dolittle and whistle to get the bird, coincidentally or otherwise, to call back. If you're...

Don't want to p*$$ on your chips, Mr 2slo but your excellent photo (and it is a belter) is not a Mistle Thrush but is a Meadow Pipit.

Help Can anyone give me an assist with where the Little Bunting is at Lambton. I have been trying to match the directions on BirdGuides with various maps and failing. I assume Elba Park is on the south side of the A183 and I park there or at the north end of Lambton Lane. I cannot locate the...

I would have willingly settled for a Monty's, however, as you drive west out of Commondale you come to a very tight LH bend with a chevron board (if you fail to take the bend you hit the board! :t:). Park where that board is and you are facing west. The birds arrived yesterday from 11:30 and...

Looks like it has gone today; this direction would be nice. Appeared to be feeding yesterday, very Marsh Harrier-like (low over the top of the reed beds and sudden drops into the vegetation). One of the best birds I have ever seen btw. :t:

Saw it! Forty minutes of ornotholgical bliss from half eleven. To accurately describe the moment would take my swallowing a thesaurus. Many, many thanks for starting the ball rolling yesterday! :t:
