    Is there a decent macro adapter lens for a mobile phone?

    Not quite answering your question, but have you thought about a diy approach ? That way you can get the quality you want. I've seen ideas to make them with every thing from a laser pointer lens through to cannibalizing a dead p&s. A google for "diy phone macro" should give a good start.
