    Thanks Paul, doesn't sound as if now is the right time of year nor that the experience is that enjoyable. I might go to Cape Verde anyway but hope to see the bird somewhere else some day.

    I'm thinking of a trip to Boa Vista. Flights with Thomson only about £170 at the moment from Gatwick. Two questions about Ilhéu dos Pássaros. Can you see the White-faced Storm-Petrels at this time of year? And do I need to take a tent and sleeping bag for sleeping on the island? Thanks
