    If you want any advice on sites or certain species etc, there's a few of us on BF that have been round NZ in the recent past, so might be worth asking for more detail if you like. Maybe PM Chlidonias too (friendly NZ BF'er) for up to date gen on some stuff. :t:

    I think this is by far the best option on a longer trip, but if (like the OP) you're only going for a month, you might not want to risk spending a week getting a good deal at the beginning, and a couple of weeks or more getting a good price at the end. EDIT I see you've booked a van already...
