    The roost is increasing rapidly. I had a minimum of 12 a few days ago, although with 7 reported at Trittiford and I had 3 along the Cole today, it's not surprising that the Bamptons roost is growing. Des.

    Little Egrets now use Bamptons Pool, Yardley throughout the year, peaking at over 20 in the winter. Des.

    The "Swanshurst Gull" is still strutting its stuff at the pool + some of the 13 Shoveler, which is a large figure for the Moseley area.

    2w Iceland Gull, 2w Caspian/YL Gull, ad Common Gull, 6 Herring Gulls, 25 LBB Gulls and 12 Cormorant at Swanshurst Park. No sign of any Waxwings at Windermere Road playing fields car park. The berries being jealousy protected by Song Thrushes. Des.

    Last winters juv bird, which was considered to be a hybrid, has definitely returned. Time will tell if the identification is changed. I'm not sure what bird you are referring to. Des.

    The 2W Iceland Gull and the Yellow Legged/Caspian Gull were at Swanshurst Park this morning + two 2W Common Gulls and three Shoveler's. Des.

    Great White Egret further along River Cole. An observer saw at Highfield Road bridge which is north of Scribers Lane and I saw it in flight going further north in Hall Green. Des.

    Apparently there has been a Hawfinch in a Moseley back garden. Better keep my eyes open. Ears might not be of any use though! Des.
