More Shots Hey everyone! So I haven't been able to get out much as of late due to a super busy schedule, but as I will be going to Mexico in a week, I decided to test my local lagoon to get some more practice in. I typically go here for Kingfishers and the occasional Green Heron, and I got to...

    New Sigma 150/600

Extremely impressive for such a heavy crop! It always feels awesome when you manage to get those nasty colour castings or other imprefections out in post and end up with a great result! Feels very accomplishing! Nice work!

I agree with Isaacs observations in regards to the images, and would also be shocked if the images beat out a d810 with a 500 f4. Unless something was wrong with the gear or shooter, the d810 combo should be winning 95% of the time. Isaac also keep in mind if you plan to upgrade to a d810 or...

Thanks for the response! I'm glad that a second set of eyes are seeing the same thing I am. I do follow you on Flickr and I've noticed your images came out nice and sharp straight out of the box (no adjustments needed) and that is definitely awesome! Look forward to more posts soon!

I finally got it! Hello everyone! As promised, I can finally contribute to this thread with some relevant data (hopefully). I received my lens just before the weekend and as previously mentioned, I took it out in to the field WITHOUT using the dock to make adjustments first. I really wanted to...

Im not too sure if I'm misunderstanding how you interpreted my message. My message was a compliment, not a negative. Maybe I was unclear that I especially appreciate his composition and cropping above and beyond the good work he does for the other aspects of a photo. Everything else is well done...

    New Sigma 150/600

Wanted to drop in and just say that one thing I find very powerful in your photography is your composition. You have a good eye for cropping/composing your images appropriately, and sometimes that makes all the difference in an otherwise lack-lusted shot. Thanks for sharing.

This is a fantastic shot considering there is an off brand 1.4 tc infront of it... well done

I have to pitch in without trying to get in the middle of all of this haha! I do agree with Isaac to the extent of saying that a lot of photos posted have been not tack sharp. I feel like this could be due to so many different things that its hard to pin it simply on "bad light" or "bad...

Hello Hi everyone, I wanted to make my first post here and start with a little hello from Canada :) I have been prompted to sign up here for a couple of reasons that I would like to list off: 1: Firstly I needed to sign up to thank you all for your contributions to this thread. I have been...
