Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

I finally put together a compilation video of the various Videoscoping segments I took over the last two months. Be forewarned, it is 15 minutes long. Click on the HD resolution option before watching. http://youtu.be/i7g-0ujD_X8

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

Punta, I would encourage you to do so. It is a lot of fun. I am actually waiting for it to get light out right now just so I can head back up to the lake to take some more pics and video. :-) To answer your question, I have actually been using two adapters. The Opticron model you linked to...

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

Thanks ON and Steve. I am having a great deal of fun tinkering with all the new IOS 8 features on the Iphone. It is so easy and yet offers so many creative options. A "regular" video of the same bird can be found at: http://youtu.be/M1_sn_Yfvrs

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

Thanks ON. I will continue to refine the craft. There is always room for improvement. Speaking of ghostly though, I went in the opposite direction (technique wise) and tried my hand at a brief time-lapse video. Same setup as previously mentioned. You can see what the conditions were at the lake...

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

My latest attempt. Great Blue Geron slow motion digiscoped video via the Opticron and the Ipgone 5 S. I was a little behind the bird as I was trying to videoscope a Belted Kingfisher when the Heron flew through the field of view. http://youtu.be/N5w3uFiRVGU

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

Steve, Something to consider, the Carson adapter is plastic and actually two pieces. The round section attached to the IPhone holder. I don't remember if it is an interlocking press fit design by itself or if there was a small amount of glue utilized in addition. I accidentally discovered this...

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

From what I remember the celestron had a wider eyecup diameter than my current Opticron eyepiece. Measured diameter is 45 mm but the plastic flexes a little. Today's videos...... http://youtu.be/u2Svsd7kc2U http://youtu.be/iVQNxjnL7Jw http://youtu.be/mUBn3LPTzAA

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

What do you mean that the first ones don't have video on your PC? Do you mean the other videos I posted to YouTube or something with the Great Egret video I linked above?

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

Steve, No, I don't have particularly steady hands. Until Opticron debuts their new digiscoping IPhone adapter in the next couple of weeks I opted to pick up a temporary alternative. The Carson Hookupz IPhone adapter. I use it without any of the internal rubber rings and it fits perfectly around...

Opticron MM3 + IPhone 5S videoscoping in slow motion

I tried a videoscoping attempt with the IPhone 5S and the Opticron MM3 50mm spotter. Pretty happy with my initial attempts. Videos were shot using the 5s's slow motion capability. Links are to my Flickr page. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/73029961@N07/14690722954/...
