    A scope is not really needed in Jordan (I didn't take one), so I would certainly leave that behind as it immediately grabs attention. Perhaps take a small second pair of compacts that might slip by if the main pair gets confiscated. Overall though, I'd be very wary of planning a trip to Jordan...
