    Pentax K-500

    Don't have a K-500. The pentax bodies I do have, flash firmware is much the same, perhaps a bit more sophisticated. Your on-body flash "could" be enabled for master/slave mode, and be set to output a pure signal without the on-body strobe actually firing. Firmware merely providing a wireless...
