    Indeed a great evening. Just a shame the phalarope did not put in an appearance but you can't win them all. We also had a juvenile marsh harrier being mobbed by a kestrel on the salt marshes around 6:00pm, plenty of swallows there still and a curlew. 45 species in total. Thank you for the info...

    Great day at the reserve yesterday. Within 45 minutes of arriving we saw the Glossy Ibis, heard 5 Turtle Doves, saw 1 and saw a beautiful Yellowhammer. A total of 44 species otherwise on a beautiful summers day. Walked around in short sleeved shirt all day. Even the wind was warm!

    indeed a good morning once the rain stopped. In addition to the above we had a rather wet looking Merlin 5 greenshank dozens of ringed plover and dunlin. Ian
