    I only did the upper woods after the Crossbills around 9.15-11.00. Stunning place in that sunshine. Anything good on river or res ?

    Parked at top car park at 9.15 an instantly connected with Crossbills above car park before flying into the wood. After a good walk around found them again just down from top car park. Good numbers of Coal Tits present, Green Woody, and 2 Fieldfare other highlights.

    Grrrrrrrrr. I was there 10.15-11.45 - No Mandarin, but did see 4 Goosander, 2 Buzzards, 3 Cormorants and plenty of commmon birds. Gary - what part of the river where they on, level with upper or lower or elsewhere ? Cheers

    After dipping the Mandarin twice this year already I wondered if any one been to Eyemore today ?
