    Phylogeny of birds

    I can’t check your formulae as I don’t really understand what you mean by “least inclusive” and “exclusive”, but for practical purposes this is surely an exaggeration. The number of monophyletic clades required to fully describe phylogeny of 9000 species is 8999, not including the 9000 clades...
