    waxwings Spotted waxwings sitting on a TV aerial on 35 Barn Owl Walk, off Stamford Rd, Stourbridge. Trekked through snow back home to fetch my binoculars. 14 of them, at 3.30 p.m.

    Thanks for your help. I went down to the lake yesterday pm but couldn't see the barnacle goose. It must indeed have been passing through. It looked very relaxed amongst the canada geese.

    barnacle goose I've just walked the dogs around the fair sized manmade lake on our housing estate near Stourbridge/Brierley Hill. This is a walk I do every day. I was surprised to see a barnacle goose amongst the resident canada geese. Has anyone a likely idea why it would be there? I'm not...
