    Very early for WFG but there were good numbers here last winter. Bird appeared to be a juvenile tho. CB

    If you go out to Hilbre island at low tide you can see the large colony roosting on the mudbanks very easily. As the tide comes in the disperse but you can usually find a few loafing around the island. I've regularly seen them from Red Rocks at high tide. CB

    I was a spotter on the top deck with tannoyman but i have to say i was disappointed that we couldn't get a Arctic Skua (of which there have been several out by the wind farm recently).
