    Eventually managed to see the Smew on Forge Mill, (thanks to Richard Baker`s morning Tweet :)) It spent a lot of time diving & staying under! Viewed from the Ramp. Even managed a record photo. I make it now 56 days on site.

    Dipped on Smew due to these ****** iots, but was seen again at mid-day by others. Even brought a deck chair!!! 3 Goldeneye seen on Forge Mill (1m+ 2fm) by North Island, together with Goosanders,Pochard etc.

    I saw my first Smew (Redhead) down the Valley on 16 Dec. 2004 in Dartmouth Park, but I have no records of how long it was present, any idea Dave? Mind you, they were fairly regular at Chasewater & Draycote in those days. Another in decline! Richard :cry:
