    In the meetings did they discuss environmental impact with stuff like Great crested Newts and Grass Snakes. Do you get Water Voles there, I've definitely seen Water Shrew. I'm just not sure what benefit they are looking for

    Worcs Wildlife Trust have replied via twitter saying they are aware of the work and believe it has now stopped and they will be in touch with @CanalRiverTrust . Were they consulted prior to work and what was the motivation for the work. Will they oppose the continuation through the nesting season.

    07.30 Tuesday morning. 5/5/15 Even though blackened by reedbed fire Coney Meadows still delivered with Grasshopper Warbler reeling in the rain and female Cuckoo bubbling to attract the males who were keeping silent in the strong wind and squalls.

    I agree that this is a cracking site good variety of habitat in a small area, that makes it easier to cover. Heard Grasshopper Warbler last year saw Cuckoo and the view up the valley had me hoping for Red footed Falcon. Viewing screens OK but a hide would be good but lets not go down that route.
