    A Cuckoo has just flown from Hindlip across the A38 over Bull Meadow towards Martin Hussingtree. A bit off-piste for Coney Meadow, but nice its to know there are other cuckoos around, other than the regulars down on the Droitwich Barge Canal.

    A large flock, (75+) of Redwings have just flown over me in Dilmore Lane heading west. My first of the season.

    It's a very hefty fence Dave. I'll be interested to see what will going into that space. Stonechat and Winchat still present on Monday, but now on the other side of the Bridle track. Also surprised to see how overgrown the paths through Coney Meadow have become.

    Nice assorted flock feeding down by Tappenhall. Mostly Chafffinch, Reed Bunting, also 3 Yellowhammer and 2 Lesser Redpoll. Also a cracking male Stonechat on the rough field between Ladywood and Caulin Court

    A good murmuration this evening viewed from the west gate against the backdrop of an almost full moon.

    At least 8 Common Spotted Orchids this afternoon in the area we cleared in the winter. Glad to see it was worthwhile. Also plenty of big clumps of Ragged Robin. Also a Red Kite circling high above

    Cuckoo seen and heard near Mildenham Mill tonight. Also Kestrel and Little Owl showing well on the fence rails around the usual tree. A Black Mini removed from the canal this afternoon, no one hurt apparently. Hopefully not too much water pollution.

    Walked as far as the floods would allow ie just beyond Lock 2. Spent some time looking over the floods. Little Egret, Kingfisher, Raven, Gadwall, Canada Geese , Greylags, LBBG's ,Blackcap, Mistle Thrush, Green Woodpecker

    7Goosanders 4m,3f around 10.30am. Also a pair of Mandarins, 3 Eygyptian Geese and Greylags with Canada geese.
