Took a walk in opposite direction today up to Droitwich marina 23 species,7 reed warbler calling up to railway bridge none from there on, family of mute swans 7 signets, green finch in 5 different areas, 2 BHGS and goldcrest. Lesser whitethroat and blackcap.
42 species this morning a few new families around Blackbird,Great tit and Starlings. Highlights Cuckoo 2 male 1 female another calling around porters mill. Raven, Jay .
Hope the tits get out of jail soon.
This morning female cuckoo calling east end of reed bed ,closest male calling at Ladywood, pair of cuckoo's chasing around Porter's mill. On return female still calling in Coney looks like 2 females in the area. Spooked a Marsh Harrier just by reed walk through, it flew west tried to circle but...
Can only add Sparrowhawk, Peregrine, Kingfisher, House Sparrow, mute swans,stonechat
Looks like coney finished on a good total of 70 for the west mids All-Dayer
Storks seen over st John's worcester a bit later.
Coney this evening 33 species,highlights single swallow, common whitethroat, reed warbler and cettis warbler called.
A walk down to Porter's Mill 42 species large flocks of fieldfare and redwing, male and female Tufted duck on Tapenhall pool, 4 cettis calling ,grey wagtail in pair's, stonechats in usual fenced field,

Nice morning walk to porter's Mill, tapenhall pond mute swans,5 mallard, grey heron,others linnet flock and 15 Canada geese.
Other highlights 3 cettis warbler ( 1 seen just up from lock 5).Also had siskin in the alders with Goldfinch.
Added another 9 birds to the year count,haven't seen flooding this bad for a long time birds around this area, 10 pied wagtail, 50c Fieldfare Jackdaws, Rooks, C,Crows,23 BHGS, Herring Gull, Heron, Cormorant, Dunnock, Chaffinch,2 male Blackcap
78 birds for the year, highlights Great White Egret, Whinchat ,Cuckoo,Bullfinch and Red kite.
Enjoyable birding better numbers of Stonechat, Cettis warbler, Grey wagtail and not forgetting the Starlings murmuration.

Starlings this evening definitely 1000c maybe 100s more not to sure if birds left roost or more came in from the west end, others green woodpecker calling also green and gold finch
Other highlights 100+ large gulls only 3 BHGS, cettis warbler calling from the Reed bed. Small sparrowhawk trying its luck came over the screen and along the hedge only 20m away
Came down for the roost, Starlings starting to gather around 15.30 , 1st flock 600c birds still arrived 2rd and 3rd flocks 200c (photos) other smaller flocks were still flying in as I left.
Starlings starting to gather in small flocks around the area, no reports around last year's place's in Droitwich, haven't been down to the reed bed on an evening due to work
First day time walk this month, also in light rain, 25 birds highlights 2 BHG on lamp posts haven't seen them there for a long time.3 Cormorant, possibly 2 Sparrowhawk, Grey wagtail and female Siskin in a flock of Goldfinch near sign for submerged sill.
