    I am now back from three weeks away. This saw me spending a week each in Herefordshire, Somerset and Norfolk, all of which produced nice birds. In these counties a good deal of new birds for the year were seen, taking the yearlist up to 202. See list above for more.

    up to 101 after a sensational day's gulling - 9 Iceland Gulls and a Kumlien's Gull. Kumlien's Gull is a subspecies of Iceland Gull so is therefore not year-tickable. However, in the futurue this will become an armchair lifer and year tick.
