    Monday morning 2 common terns but always distant seem to be eyeing up a at the moment an occupied Coots nest at the S end. 2 Cuckoo's calling and very active . Little Grebe with 2 chicks S.end and fledged Reed Warblers

    Ill start with the birds I've missed 23/4 6 Little Gulls, 24/4 Red Kite over and Hobby hawking insects around midday. Sedge Warbler along N. causeway , Chiffchaff nest building far South. Strange duck which didn't stay very long , too large to be a mallard cross.

    I have not had a coal tit yet this year at Grimley but as they usually hang around near conifers of some type you have to check the yew trees or go to Holt Castle /Sling pool and check the Cedars or Larches.
