    A Bittern was seen on the reserve today by the gate to the North pit before flying to the Dosthill side of the reserve later.

    A Greenshank, still moulting into summer plumage, was on the canalside scrape of Jubilee Wetlands today.

    A single Swallow was over the feeder area this morning at 07:30 and a Willow warbler was feeding in the trees over the bridleway through the woodland. Little ringed plover, Ringed plover and Redshank also present after a quick scan.

    There was a cream crown Marsh harrier hunting in the grass behind the canalside screen, around 8:30am. It was then seen againat about 11:30 flying over the reserve heading North. Also, a Jack snipe was flushed from the Jubilee Wetlands while the work party was out and about.
