    Nothing "supposed" about the egret - pics on my twitter (@tamebirding) if you care to look. :-) Also you wouldn't expect groppers to be audible in June as they are busy breeding. They do have a second singing period in July though so all is not lost for this year.

    Snow Goose first reported on 10th October but it has been seen at other Midlands sites prior to this.

    Great Grey Shrikes do tend to have a large territory in winter making them hard to find. If you have ever twitched shrikes on the Chase you will know what I mean!

    As the last confirmed bird in the Tame was 1979 I would say it's likely to be the same one so hopefully will stay around all winter. Must be spending most of its time away from the reserve possibly on the hill between reserve and Dosthill where much suitable habitat.
