Not crap at all Roy - all great points thank you. I took the scope out today as it was sunny when I left, but soon turned to rain and dull conditions that meant I never even took it out of my rucksack. I am pretty happy with my set up now. I have my 7D attached to a 300 f4 + most of the time a...

Both very nice Roy. But I do know what you mean about needing decent ligh. I have struggled with the scope plus 1.5TC connected. I have taken shots that all look very dark and smudgy, bringing them back in PP is creating horrid noise. All have seen dusty bin of late :-C But will keep trying :t:

Not just at the moment. I want to have a few outings with it first, while I save my pennies for a new Canon lens. They come up quite often on the site. Good luck with the hunt.

I would look for a second hand scope myself. I picked mine up for under £200 and is a mint Celestron 80ED. Ebay and astromart have them quite often for sale. Will have a look now for you. GL Punta Been playing with mine today and I am STILL not sure these long, awkward manual focusing scopes...

Sorry to be a pain, but can some one point me to the thread about how to mount these telenegatives. I have a old Pentax zoom that i have removed the TN from and would like to try it with my astroscope, but not sure how to do this. Cheers
