Agea, can you do a comparison between the V1 and a crop sensor DSLR? That shot of yours is fantastic. Imagine only needing to carry a 400mm fast scope handheld and beating us with a 600mm slow scope with HD tripod? How was the noise at higher ISO of 1600? FineArt, the Borg website looks very...

That's amazing job you did there. Apart from playing with the levels, what else did you do there and how much? You really pop the egret out.

Thanks Paul. Pete, so you are back to 80ED? Good to have you back LOL. So what happened to the 120? Will be expecting more beautiful shots coming up from you. Fernando, was that taken with the Short Tube? Would be nice to couple up a video camera onto the scope. Even then the pic were excellent.

Not to worry. They are much better than most photography lens costing many many times more. You can always keep an eye open for used ones to come along. They can be quite cheap too.

Paul, did you tried using your Sunagor 100-200 TN mounted as Barlow for Astronomy and what magnification it ended with and the quality in comparison to your Antares?
  9. alphan

    Astroscope + DSLR = Gallery!

Your 2X Barlow when mounted in extension tube only give 1.7X ? That's handy. Your Oly at that ISO and setup does comes out well.

That was excellent considering your using Achro and new to this setup. Few here can achieve that during out initial trail of this system.

My setup here at post 53 http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=194800&page=3. Your scope would falls under the digiscoping section I belief. But I think we are very close technically.

Here is a shot of a foot long Dollarbird taken with 80ED + Cosina TN 2.4X from a distance of 100m. Humidity are in the range of 90-92% though, at noon. Un-cropped and no processing, jpeg mode. Just wouldn't get any better from that range in that condition.

525 meters? Here, I can hardly distinguish between bird and BG at that distance.

Your shots are so fantastic. Even your BG are so consistent that they look like studio set up. :t:

You only missed a tiny part. After you clicked Purple Fringe Killer, go to the bottom of the box, you'll see the "Play" symbol as with any media player symbol, you actually see the "Pause", "Stop" and "Play" symbols. Click the play symbol and it's automatically done. Then if you still see more...

Took me a few attempts to get the PFK into actions folder but once done, it was so easy. Just a few click and viola... Here's what I did to your Pheasant and only took me just about 5 seconds.

Excellent one Paul. Took me a while to get everything right but the results are "WOW"... Just can"t belief my eyes....and it was so easy. Does that means we can all start collecting non ED scope of different sizes, use whichever one suit the circumstance then just use the PFK to get it right or...

Sometime I just cannot belief the price difference between ED and Non ED. That much difference just for the extra coating, though it does do wonders. That was a nice job removing the fringes. What software did you use? I have yet to get half as clean a job with CS4.

Pete, your 3rd pic, the CA on the white band around the neck, is it the product of the TN or the SW120? It seems that some of your pics, the color does not seems natural. Are they because of the Non ED optics effects or they are just my eyes playing up on me. However, they are all very sharp and...
