Hi Paul, Long time no see... Nice Goldfinch. Here is a photo that I am quite pleased with. Male Red-backed shrike photographed late evening in the deep shades after the sun had died behind the trees. It was quite a distance to the subject as I did not want to take the risk of scaring the bird...

Hi Carlos Some really good shots with the scope, clarity and details are top notch. Did you bring it as hand luggage? Was on a month long trip to south India the past winter, had to compromise on what to bring and regrettably left the scope at home as there was loads of other...

Hi Carlos, Seychelles... lucky you. Looking forward for nice pics. http://fatbirder.com/links_geo/africa/seychelles.html I brought the SW80 once with me on travel, and I brought the TLAPO804 several times. The SW80 went into a padded box into the suitcase and it survived, but I had little use...

Jules, Best of wishes and good luck with the sale. We will surely miss you so keep in touch on the forum (m43 photography?) Carlos, what place do you plan to visit? For travel I would bring the TLAPO804 over the ED80 as it fits in the hand luggage and the shorter focal length enables more options.

White-throated Kingfisher Thanks Jules, Sri Lanka is a wonderful country offering great birding opportunities. Have visited four times. Here another photo with the TLAPO804. This one is a White-throated Kingfisher. These guys are common, found more or less everywhere there is water around abd...

Back from a long, well deserved(?) trip to Sri Lanka. Weather was shifting, quite rainy, still we had a great stay. Lost track of all species we observed, somewhere between 150 and 200, most of them on photo. Finally I managed to nail this guy. Small, hard to spot, wary and difficult to get...

Nice. No way to tell it is a vehicle in the background, could have been a wall. Are these with the scope?

Here are some photos I took late January. Brought the TLAPO804 with me on a bicycle ride with the intention to check out a small stream running through outskirts of town and one of the two resident Kingfishers showed up within a few minutes. Got a flat tire and had to walk home but that's...

In one of the public parks in Central Malmö there are not only one, but two Kingfishers. I spotted them the other week while on casual birding and got some acceptable pictures with the 400/5.6. This time I deployed the TS102 and added the MC14 for more reach and waited patiently. One showed up...

Thanks Dan, These are from the beach just by the golf course club house. Water level was near perfect with sand bars just exposed, and light was great. I was on site by sunrise, placed myself on the ground under a camo net and waited for the birds to come closer. After a while other visitors...

Hobby Nice. Here is one taken with the TS102, taken from a good 100 meters away. We have one of Sweden's largest colony of Sand Martins not so far from my place. Out of sudden they vanish, chance is quite high a Hobby is around.

Why couldn't the scope match (and even exceed) the IQ delivered by the lens. The Blue Tit suffers from a tad out of focus (front).
