    Well in the end, the Red Kites over Cut Thorn were great, but I didn't get the chance to do any birding otherwise, she had other priorities in mind (definitely mouse, me). :-C

    Hope you guys don't mind the intrusion ... we are coming to stay at Cut Thorn Farm, near Gibside, in about ten days' time. Can anyone give us any advice about what birding is likely to be good around there then ? Thanks in advance.
