    ive had a temporary relapse....its hard habit to kick! Managing to restrict myself to proper birds tho, like waders and gulls, no straw birds like warblers and stuff.... I always try and get out more between mid aug-mid sep.

    its even harder to track down on the bus :) takes about 3hrs to get to whitburn on bus/metro. Bit like shooting at a plane with a bow and arrow....hit and hope jobee.

    looks like a honey buzzard to me. However am not raptor expert. Perhaps the head is too small for hb? My gut reactions was buzzard over harrier. Although tbh ive never seen a harrier from below. edit....ok looked hard at the pic, the face does look pale, against a dark body. So it does look...

    "Very Albatross like stance and feel to them" you see alot of them in sunderland? gets any pics of the caspian gulls, or where they at distance?
