    Agreed, perhaps by phrasing was off in my post. I am aware of the excellent work the Wyre Forest group do and some of the surveys that have taken place, but the point I was trying to make is that there is no regular monitoring group specifically looking at Raptors in the area. MB

    All the data we accumulate will end up with the BTO and relevant county recorders/Monitoring schemes. Hugh, has a contact at the BTO whom he is forwarding the information too. We never had an intention of 'keeping information to ourselves'. We are not doing this for 'personal' gratification...

    Are you sure they were Willow Tits? They are very unusual in the area now and considered extinct! Marsh is much more likely, but great record if you are sure as to the ID! :t: MB

    Your bird would probably have been Marsh, to my knowledge, Willow Tit is practically extinct in Worcs MB

    Yes, Kingfishers are fairly common breeding birds around the Wyre Forest area in general, i have personally seen them in the Wyre a few times. Great birds MB

    Just to gloat, i had a flock of 192 a couple of winters ago, including a fully albino female! MB

    there was 2 birds (M+f) on the small frog pool at the bottom of dry mill lane on 25/02 MB
