swans are lovely - beautifully composed. I know what you mean about framing - drives me mad to have to get stuff encased in wood and glass - any profit from anything sold is held back to pay for next year's frames and all the unsold stuff just sits collecting dust taking up a lot more space than...

good man! Get them pictures all over the internet. I think that genuine artists are equally cursed and blessed by a generosity derived from the need to share what they have seen. I remember one of my freinds telling me not to post my art on the internet as it would be too easy for people to...

I bring a gift of plastic budgie and toilet chain nicked from Blenheim Palace, it's got a bird, and some art in there, heck, I put enough normal art here, I can allow myself one of my strange photographic compositions.

Cirls always look so exotic - I was half disappointed the first time I saw some - in a muddy puddle by the side of the road one winter - don't see what's unfinished about this one either - looks great.

I agree! It's too hot at the moment, sitting in my undies trying to survive the heat is not the best way of hiding my newly-acquired belly. Smew are sadly very few and far between round here - love them. Great to see the site up Phil.

excellent work - memories of seeing these in farms and woods all over England - they're really a bird of upland coniferous forests here. I love how he's the only splash of hot colour in the whole scene.

mmmm pretty! What sort of unearthly hour are you still up at Mr Baber!? Maybe I should go sleep, I'm at work this morning! Liking the Bullfinch - but keep it simple - it's a winner from the start!

gorgeous - what a rare treat, I've seen a few in almost full summer plumage as they linger quite late sometimes, but to be able to enjoy one singing (or wheezing) must be wonderful.

wouldn't it be nice if my local hazelhens were as obliging as Polish ones. This one looks like it's positively smiling as it saunters along saying 'dzien dobry'. French ones just fly past with a scream of 'I fart on your grave' to disappear completely again. I really like the snow buntings - the...
