    Not as exciting as a Black Redstart but a very approachable Mipit in a Camborne garden on and off since January seen down to around six feet! Also in recent weeks a gradually expanding group of starlings over the town most days at dusk. I reckon numbers were up to over 1,000 late last week...

    Thanks, been to the area several times over the years not just for Green Woodpecker! Lesser Spotted is high on my list "to see" but no luck anywhere so far.

    Dantheman:- Swanvale seems rather under explored by birders although I make a point of visiting it when in the area. Can be a bit "hit and miss" there though. As for Water Rail at Swanpool haven't seen any recently,are they still mainly seen from the track round the back? Saw an old boy...

    Not exactly 100's of Waxwing in Cornwall just a few here & there. Wonder if we will get an increase in numbers with the weather turning colder from Friday onwards? Hopefully so as I haven't seen any of the waxwing in Cornwall yet.
