    Hi Tom, just yesterday I was watching some Korean Bush Warblers here in...er... Korea. They were very active in the reeds, especially early morning - they do seem quite catholic in their choice of habitat. BTW you know its a Chinese Nuthatch "year"?

    Haha, yes. isn't it always the way, travel to the frozen wastes of outer Dalian to see a Long-tailed Rosefinch and next thing you know, one turns up in your back garden, as it were. Yeyahu partly unfrozen yesterday and packed with swans, geese and ducks. First Lapwing back so spring is here !

    Hey Tom We noticed the lack of raptors at Yeyahu today, just one White-tailed Eagle and an Upland Buzzard

    Hi Tom and Dave, Actually eastern Eurasian Wigeons often show this greenish sheen on the head and there has been some discussion already on birdforum www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=107618 and also photos on the Korea site...

    Hi Tom, many thanks for taking the time to help us with this great trip and for your expert help and company. It seems a good winter for Pallas's Rosefinches with a few recent reports from the hills around Beijing. No Long-tailed's though :) Look forward to showing you some great birds around...
