    Great pics especially the PG Tips. On Happy Island we had a pretty good idea they'd be in specific habitats so basically we'd walk through the dense stuff towards an isolated bush on the fringe and if your luck was in they'd jump into the bush and sit there. Managed to work out well several times.

    Great stuff. Many thanks for putting the report together and posting it so promptly. Just had a quick look through and it makes very interesting reading. I've already been able to make several species/numbers comparisons with my autumn visits to Happy Island.Will have a good read later.

    Hi Mark, The Lapwings must use a different route or remain hidden by smog. Strange really. Nothing unusual in the height or direction E to west and typically fairly low. The Dalian stuff they've been having is a typical reflection of HI from what I've read. Should make an interesting report.

    Northern Lapwing - fairly regular in October through Happy Island BUT still one of my favourites wherever and whenever you see it.
