    John's Lane parking area is a bit dodgy but I seem to recall another parking area in Philip Road on the other side of the park. I used to do the site most days in the nineties when I worked in Dudley Port. It was usually fairly quiet during the week but weekends tended to attract the local yobbo's.

    The same seems to have happened to Forge Mill lake down Sandwell Valley.....you can't see the water for the trees.

    I used to go there a lot pre-2000 when I worked in Tipton. It seems most local birders are heading for the bright lights of Belvide and Upton Warren these days so I might call in during the next few days. Sheepwash and Sandwell Valley seem to be underwatched these days.
